You know how it goes: life before vacation is crazy and hectic as you get everything and everyone ready to go...then you go on vacation, and if you have more "ahhhhh" moments than "grrrrr" moments, you feel you've had a successful time away from home...then once you get back, you have to try to make up for the time away. How did life get like this?
Anyhoo, with being away from home and then just getting back in town and getting back to life as we know it, I haven't had much time for writing. I don't blog just to put something online. I don't type just to read myself type. ;-) I really do try to have something of value to say. I have several writer friends who have incredible wisdom to share, but I don't even have time to read everything they post or write, so I know you don't have time to read stuff that holds no substance. All of this to say that since I don't have a lot of time to write down --right now--some of the things I'm learning along the journey I'm on, I wanted to pass along something of value that I'm confident will be a benefit to you.
Stephen and I have recently become acquainted with Tom Davis, CEO of Children's Hopechest. "HopeChest is a thriving international ministry to orphans, connecting them to the life transforming power of community-based relationships with Christians in the U.S." Tom is an incredibly gifted writer, an authentic and genuine follower of Christ, and someone who is already challenging Stephen and me both as it pertains to being a part of what Scripture calls "true fasting." Check out his latest blog, visit Children's HopeChest website, order and read his books. None of us can do everything, but all of us CAN do something. Do something today--start by finding out more about how you can make a difference in the life of a child.
Along with the links above, you can easily find Tom's blog here
I'd love to hear from you once you've visited the websites listed. Imagine with me what could happen, and what SHOULD happen, if all of us would do something.

Stop the Secret
What can one person, in America, during this economic crisis, do for a child suffering as a victim of sex trafficking on the other side of the world?
I've recently become familiar with this ministry and the author of the blog that is linked below. This is too important and too good not to pass along....
None of us can do everything, but ALL of us can do something.
Let's do what we can do...
